The Department of Management Studies is committed to nurturing students with thought leadership and a deep understanding of business. The approach to pedagogy combines fieldwork, case studies, internships, industrial visits, interaction with experts and instrumented feedback with a strong emphasis on concepts and theory. The degree is designed to give a broad knowledge of the functional areas of a company, and their interconnection, while also allowing for specialization in a particular area.
The Bachelor of Business Administration offered by the Department of Management Studies exposes students to a variety of “core subjects” and allows student to specialize in a specific academic area. The degree also develops students’ practical managerial skills, communication skills and business decision-making capability. Students are also trained in SPSS, which gives them a competitive advantage to execute action research and impact assessments projects.
