Computers and the programs they run are among the most complex products ever created by humans. Despite its short history as a formal academic discipline, computer science has made a number of fundamental contributions to science and society, along with electronics; it is a founding science of the current epoch of human history called the Information Age. Therefore a degree in Computer Science creates opportunities for a wide and varied range of careers.
The department of Computer Science concentrates on creating links between theory and practice. The programmes offered cover a wide variety of software and hardware technologies and their applications. The Department of Computer Science offers two programmes:
- Undergraduate programme: B.Sc Computer Science
- Postgraduate programme : M.Sc Computer Science
Our students will gain practical problem solving and program design skills and the majority of subjects within the course are linked with practical work in our well-equipped laboratory. The BYTE (BWDA Young Technologists) Chapter organises guest lectures, symposiums and other events that strengthens the exposure of the students.
